Filefish have a very unique body shaped compared to other fish that makes them very appealing to hobbyists. They need to be housed with only very docile tank mates. Filefish are not known for being strong swimmers so flow should be lower and never direct. The Tassled Filefish has a light coloration and small appendages that help them camouflage into their surroundings. Due to their increased metabolism, it is important that these filefish are fed multiple times a day and a varied diet for their continued health. They will grow to be a foot in size and will require an aquarium of 180 gallons with plenty of rockwork.
